We discuss CPR and CPR in schools, with Peter Salgo, MD, and Rebecca Knowles, AHA volunteer.
Knowles shares her story of how she performed CPR on her son, Cameron, when she and her husband found him unresponsive in their home. Cameron has Long QT Syndrome.
Knowles has since been a leader in bringing CPR training to schools, and was influential in the adoption of legislation that now requires students graduating from New York State high schools to obtain CPR training. The New York State CPR in Schools bill went into effect on October 7, 2015.
Our guests:
- Peter Salgo, MD, host of Second Opinion and CPR in America
