Chances are, you've heard more about Fetal Alcohol Syndrome than you have about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. The latter is a broader category, and the issue is thought to be a spectrum. But parents of children with FASD don't always get the same kind of help and services. We talk to two parents of children with FASD to understand their experiences. We also explore the latest research and discuss how to navigate services and help. Our guests: Christie Petrenko, research psychologist at the University of Rochester’s Mt. Hope Family Center and an assistant professor at the University of Rochester Medical CenterJennifer Faringer, director of DePaul’s National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence-Rochester Area (NCADD-RA)Kate, mother of a teenager with FASDNichole, mother of a teenager with FASD
